John Boyega was on home turf on Wednesday for the premiere of his latest film, Detroit, and he looked pretty excited, with that trademark grin out in full force. It's no surprise that this is yet another incredible role for the young actor. The drama, directed by Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow, is based on true events that took place at the Algiers Motel during Detroit's 1967 12th Street Riot. While the film tells the story of an event in American history, it actually stars a surprising number of Brits, and costars Will Poulter and Hannah Murray (yep, that's Gilly) were there to celebrate with John on the red carpet. They're not the only ones putting on an accent for the flick: though he was born in the US, costar Jack Reynor grew up in Ireland and has the sexy drawl to match. He was also there to support the film as it makes its London debut. Take a look for yourself in the gallery ahead.
