Julia Louis-Dreyfus [1] and her family looked like they were headed to the White House when they stepped out for the season seven premiere of Veep [2] in NYC on Tuesday. The 58-year-old actress — who is best known for her role as former Senator Selina Meyer [3] in the HBO series — was accompanied by husband Brad Hall and their two sons, 21-year-old Charlie and 26-year-old Henry, and they appeared ready to celebrate the show's final season. Julia stunned in a strapless black dress, while the rest of her family kept things simple in colour-coordinated suits.
Following seven successful seasons, the beloved political comedy is coming to an end [4] this Spring and Julia has had a hard time saying goodbye [4]. "I wept like a baby," she told People about her last day of filming. "What I'm gonna miss most is being with all these wonderful people, whom I adore more than I can possibly articulate. But I am going to miss playing a hyper-dysfunctional, narcissistic, undeveloped, ruthless human being."
Julia is now cancer-free [5] after completing chemotherapy last year, and she couldn't have done it without the support [6] of her family and costars. "The outpouring of support was quite overwhelming," Julia said. "It helped me get through chemotherapy in a big way." We're glad to see Julia is feeling much better!
