KJ Apa Reflects on His Friendship With the Late Luke Perry: "We Had a Really Close Relationship"
On Friday, Riverdale star KJ Apa stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss the show's final episodes for season three. During his visit, KJ reflected on the sudden passing of his costar and on-screen father Luke Perry. "Everyone was pretty shocked," he said."Luke is the kind of person who did everything to make whoever you are — no matter how big or small you are — feel comfortable and feel welcome. We had a really close relationship." KJ also revealed how the late actor was like a father figure to him even off screen.
Sadly, Luke died on March 4 at age 52 after suffering a massive stroke. Following the news, many of his former costars sent an outpouring of love and support for his family and reflected on his impactful legacy.
