The famous royal, who is currently expecting her third child [2] with Prince William, spread cheer to young patients as she visited the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London on Wednesday to officially open the Mittal Children's Medical Centre. Aside from participating in arts and crafts and giving a 4-year-old boy a high five, she also accepted two teddy bears from a little girl with cystic fibrosis before entering the facility.

Although Kate wore one of her signature bright coats [3] for the occasion, there was one accessory missing: her engagement ring. Following the hospital's policy on minimal jewellery [4], the mother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte [5] opted to wear a simple gold wedding band instead of the iconic sapphire and diamond ring that once belonged to Princess Diana.
