Someone Told Kelly Ripa She's "Too Old" For Mark Consuelos, and Boy, She Wasn't Having It
On this week's episode of Kelly Ripa vs. Internet Trolls, Kelly utterly shut down a hater who argued that she's "too old" for her hunky husband, Mark Consuelos — despite the fact that they're both 47 years old. Here's what went down. Over the weekend, Mark shared an Instagram photo to show his support for the #HeForShe movement, directing his followers to a page about the gender-equality campaign. Kelly left a sweet comment on her hubby's post, writing, "You make me proud @instasuelos."
We wish that was the end of the story, but alas, someone had to step in and ruin their innocent moment. A social media user replied to Kelly's comment, writing, "@KellyRipa yes he is so handsome but you need to go Kelly you look to old for him sorry but you do." Of course, the Live With Kelly and Ryan host wasn't just going to let them get away with that one, so she replied with a heavy serving of sass — and a grammar lesson on the side. "You need to learn how to spell the word too sweetie. As in you're too stupid to be with my young, handsome husband," she wrote. "Ps, he likes proper grammar as well you dope."
Well, damn — Kelly certainly didn't hold back while putting them in their place. I mean, she and Mark have been happily married for 22 years and they're the same exact age, so we suppose she had to set the record straight. Take this as a warning, all you internet trolls out there.
