Kim Kardashian Addresses Taylor Swift Feud on WWHL 2019

Kim Kardashian Said She's "Over" Her Feud With Taylor Swift, and Honestly, So Are We

With just two words, Kim Kardashian seemingly put a decade-long feud behind her. "Over it," Kim told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in response to a question about the high-profile drama between her family and Taylor Swift. Despite the fact that Kim said she hasn't spoken to Taylor, she added, "I feel like we've all moved on."

The feud began back in 2009 when Kanye West infamously interrupted Taylor's MTV VMAs acceptance speech. In recent years, however, Kim has involved herself, frequently coming to the defence of her husband. Though the public enjoyed a momentary truce, Taylor slammed Kanye for his song 2016 "Famous," in which he claims to have made Taylor famous. Everything culminated in a series of videos shared by Kim, which allegedly revealed Taylor approving the lyrics beforehand. Then of course Reputation was born, with its many songs about Kim and Kanye. But it's totally over, everyone!

There might be some truth behind Kim's claim, however. Though much of her album is about the feud, Taylor didn't make it the focus of her recent tour. When she did address it one tour stop, Taylor referred to it as a learning experience. "I think something that came out of it that was good is that I learned a really important lesson that I've been telling you from the stage for about 10 years," Taylor said, "You shouldn't care so much if you feel misunderstood by a lot of people who don't know you as long as you feel understood by the people who do know you." As for Kanye, well, he's pretty busy with other feuds these days.
