On Wednesday, Kim was photographed arriving at the White House with attorney Shawn Chapman Holley in a black trouser suit, which she paired with bright yellow pumps. While it wasn't originally clear if Kim would meet with the president, he tweeted out a photo of them in the Oval Office, writing, "Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing." Kim's visit was expected to include a conversation about the possibility of a pardon [3] for Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old great-grandmother [4] who has been in prison for over 20 years on a nonviolent drug-related offence.

Kim has been advocating for Alice's clemency [5] since late last year, and her White House visit happened to fall on Alice's birthday. Earlier in the day, Kim tweeted a message to Alice [6], saying, "Happy Birthday Alice Marie Johnson. Today is for you."
