When you think of Lily James, one of the first characters that might pop into your mind is her whimsical and charming Cinderella. But as she turns 30, the British actress admits to Harper's Bazaar that she is "actively seeking characters from now on that are different." It's not because she didn't love her experience as Cinderella; in fact, she said "Cinderella was a gift, and I will treasure it for the rest of my life." However, she doesn't want to "rely on charm or the qualities that I think I've explored quite a lot." Lily noted that even at the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again premiere, she was once again referred to as Cinderella as a result of her incredible blue Oscar de la Renta ballgown.

As she approaches 30, Lily is excited about celebrating the milestone birthday while starring in a West End production of All About Eve alongside Gillian Anderson. Although she admits "the nerves are out of control," she said she's looking forward to playing the evil parts of the character. Lily discusses looking forward to her 30s as a turning point, explaining, "My twenties have been so chaotic, and I've always looked forward to 30 as being an anchor point." We look forward to seeing what else Lily has in store for her upcoming roles, particularly her complicated role in the upcoming movie Little Woods.
