It's safe to say we didn't see this one coming! Matt LeBlanc has been announced as one of the new hosts of the BBC's Top Gear, joining Chris Evans (no, not that one) in the revamped car show. "As a car nut and a massive fan of Top Gear, I'm honoured and excited to be a part of this iconic show's new chapter," the former Friends star said of his new job.
Though this news seems to have come out of left field (bookmaker William Hill reports not a single bet had been placed on LeBlanc ahead of today's announcement), Matt is no stranger to the show, having clocked the fastest time ever in the "star in a reasonably priced car" segment. He's also a familiar face to the BBC, having played himself in the sitcom Episodes since 2011. Now two male presenters have been announced, we await news of whether they'll be joined by a woman. Evans made it clear a female presenter was likely back in June, but we've waited a long time to find out who it'll be. Maybe they did persuade Cameron Diaz after all?
