Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding was a star-studded affair! The nuptials brought out a handful of celebrities including Meghan's close pals Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, and George and Amal Clooney. But wait a second, how are the Clooneys connected to Meghan and Harry? Well, it turns out, Meghan and Amal have actually been friends for quite a while now.
According to People, the two women first met through a mutual friend and grew closer when Meghan moved to the UK last year. "Meghan and Amal have known each other for a while [and share] many interests," a source told the publication. "Amal has been helping Meghan settle into London life. It was a very natural friendship from day one."
Given that Meghan and Amal are both certified badasses and share a passion for making a difference in the world, their friendship certainly doesn't surprise us.
