2018 is already shaping up to be a big year for Meghan Markle [1]! Not only did she tie the knot with Prince Harry [2] and officially become the Duchess of Sussex [3], but she'll soon be stepping out for her first solo royal engagement [4]! According to People, Meghan will carry out her first public outing in Cheshire on June 14, accompanying Queen Elizabeth II. The two ladies are set to unveil the Mersey Gateway Bridge in Widnes and open the Storyhouse Theatre.
Meghan is currently enjoying her honeymoon with Harry in an undisclosed location [6], but is reportedly "keen to start working as soon as they return." According to royal contributor Omid Scobie, Meghan's first solo engagements [7] will "see her visiting a number of small charities and grass roots organisations across the UK as she continues to decide what her first patronage will be." We can't wait for Meghan to hit the ground running!
