The royal tot turned four on Thursday, and to celebrate, Kensington Palace shared some adorable new snapshots [2] of her on Instagram. The pictures — which were taken [3] by Charlotte's mom, Kate Middleton [4] — show little Lottie [5] flashing a sweet smile at the camera while rocking a floral dress and sneakers as well as a sweater and plaid skirt. One of the posts received a cheerful comment from Meghan and Harry through their joint Instagram account [6]. "Happy Birthday Charlotte! Lots of love, H and M xo," they wrote, adding a cake and balloon emoji.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's message for the princess comes shortly after they left a similar comment [7] on a birthday post for her brother Prince Louis, who turned one on April 23.
