Michelle Obama Helps Exchange Vows at Chicago Wedding 2018

Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest, most beautiful occasion, where you get to share special memories with the person who means the most to you in the world . . . Oh, and I guess your future spouse is there too. Michelle Obama recently helped Chicago couple Stephanie Rivkin and Joel Sircus exchange their wedding vows and simultaneously raised the bar for all future wedding guests from here on out.

Despite prepping for her highly-anticipated Becoming book tour, Michelle made time to assist in the nuptials for Deputy Mayor Robert S. Rivkin's daughter. No, it appears she didn't actually officiate the ceremony, but she did read off the vows for the lucky couple.

Chicago definitely holds a special place in the former first lady's heart. She was born in the Windy City and her husband, Barack Obama, served as United States Senator from 2005 until he became president in 2008. If getting married in Michelle's hometown is what it takes, then sign me up! I'm ready for a destination wedding.
