Michelle Williams Has a Romantic Day of Antique Shopping With Her New Husband, Phil Elverum
Michelle Williams was the picture of wedded bliss over the weekend as she did some antique shopping in upstate New York with her husband, Phil Elverum. The couple, who tied the knot in July, were spotted walking side by side and at one point, Phil sweetly kissed Michelle's hand — did you hear that? It's the entire world saying "Awww!"
Michelle surprised us all with the news of her wedding in the September issue of Vanity Fair. The 38-year-old actress married Phil, a 40-year-old musician, in a private ceremony in the Adirondack Mountains with "only a handful of friends" and their two daughters; Michelle has a 12-year-old daughter, Matilda, from her previous relationship with the late Heath Ledger, and Andrew has a daughter from his marriage to Geneviève Castrée, who died of pancreatic cancer in July 2016.
"I never gave up on love," Michelle said in her Vanity Fair interview, adding, "Ultimately the way [Phil] loves me is the way I want to live my life on the whole. I work to be free inside of the moment. I parent to let Matilda feel free to be herself, and I am finally loved by someone who makes me feel free."
