The Golden Globes celebrated the achievements of some of Hollywood's biggest stars in film and TV on Sunday night, but the biggest winner [3] of all was female empowerment. In addition to almost all of the actresses wearing black [4] in solidarity of the Time's Up movement [5], which calls for action to end sexual harassment and gender inequality, Natalie Portman used her time on stage to call out Hollywood for another problem: not recognising enough female directors. While presenting the award for best director with Ron Howard, the actress loudly said, "And here are the all-male nominees." The move was small, but huge for the bigger picture. Watch the amazing moment above, which ended with Guillermo del Toro winning for The Shape of Water.
