Nick Carter and Lauren Kitt are going to be parents again! On Friday, the 39-year-old Backstreet Boys singer [3] and the 35-year-old fitness expert [4] announced that they are expecting their second child with a sweet post on Instagram. "Thank You God for giving us the greatest gift we could ever ask for 🌈" Nick captioned the photo of him cradling his wife's growing belly as their 3-year-old son Odin looked up at them.
The exciting news comes almost a year after Nick announced that Lauren had a miscarriage [5]. "God give us peace during this time," he wrote at the time. "I really was looking forward to meeting her after 3 months. I'm heartbroken." In a 2015 video for Dancing With the Stars [6], Nick revealed that they had lost a child before Lauren got pregnant with Odin.
The couple first met on a blind date [7] in 2008, and dated for four years before the singer got down on one knee in February 2013 [8] during a romantic proposal in the Florida Keys. In April 2014, they eventually tied the knot during a romantic ceremony in Santa Barbara, CA, with Nick's Backstreet Boys bandmates in attendance. Congrats to the couple on their growing family!
