Following Gordon Brown's official resignation this evening, David Cameron has formally become the new Prime Minister. He met with the Queen at Buckingham Palace where she invited him to form a government. The Conservatives have been in talks with the Liberal Democrats since the general election resulted in a hung parliament last week. Cameron has now made a speech at Downing Street. He has spoken about the challenges facing his government. It will be a coalition government, with Liberal Democrats holding official roles.
