Sadie Frost Spills About Her Marriage To Jude Law in "Crazy Days" Autobiography

Sadie Frost has written her autobiography Crazy Days and the first sections were published in The Daily Mail.

Jude Law has reportedly asked for parts to be edited, but it stilll provides insight into the couple's relationship. She talks about their marriage, her post-natal depression and her life as part of the Brit pack of actors in London in the 1990s, as well as meeting buddy Kate Moss through Jonny Lee Miller. Here are some extracts:

  • On their first meeting: "I smiled at this man, who returned a shy smile and offered a hand. I was 25, a married woman with a young child. He was thin and gangly, and couldn't have been more than 19, but something about him made me nervous. I blushed."
  • On working with Jude while still with Gary Kemp: "A night shoot in which we sat in a car was almost painful, so powerful was the force drawing me to him. He turned to me, his stare intense and hungry. I allowed my gaze to take him in as his almond-shaped, avocado-green eyes thundered their way into my soul. His head was shaved and he was wearing tight black trousers. Time slowed down inside our bubble and I realised we were destined to be together. 'Cut!' shouted the director, shaking us back to reality."
  • On their early days: "I nervously waited for Jude to get home after he finished the play in New York. I needn't have worried and we took up where we'd left off. I bought a house in Primrose Hill and Jude moved in. We hung out with the likes of Jonny Lee Miller and Ewan McGregor. Life was settling down and Jude was great with Fin, while things between Gary and I were amicable after our split."

  • On what happened after she saw a photo of Jude and a woman sitting close at a party: "Jude and I flew to Thailand separately. Right away I knew something was wrong. I knew it was over, the way he looked at me. I was underweight, depressed and scared. We got through the holiday, then we had to go to Los Angeles for a meeting with our joint agency. When we got to our hotel room I could bear it no longer. I asked him if he loved me but he didn't need to reply - I knew the answer. The moment had arrived and I knew the relationship with the man I loved was over. I could not go on feeling this wretched, but, thankfully, my American agent took one look at me and advised me to seek help."
