All our Sugar sites are bringing you gift ideas for mums to be today, so I've selected a few entertainment purchases that could be fun from pregnancy to birth, as well as some electronics to record it all on!
First off we've got a Filp Mino video camera to record the fun moments like painting the nursery and singing to her baby bump, a Samsung digital camera to snap the memories too, as well as an external hard drive to store the many, many memories safely.
She'll be wanting to sit back and put her feet up, and what's better than the Sex And The City movie for a little girlie escapism, I'd also recommend the TV series Gilmore Girls which focuses on a fast-talking, pop culture referencing mother and daughter based in a small American town. It's funny, smart and so heartwarming, plus it has Milo Ventimiglia, Jared Padalecki and Adam Brody as a little man candy! I've also thrown in a subscription to Lovefilm so she can catch up with the movies she doesn't feel like venturing to the cinema for, as well as being able to rent all her old favourites!
Should the mum to be in your life decide she wants to be active, after all exercise is important, I've added in a prenatal yoga DVD, as well as Davina McCall's prenatal and postnatal exercise programme. I've also included Myleene Klass's book about her own experiences of pregnancy, as well as a general baby book, so that when he or she arrives, mum can note down all the big moments throughout the journey. There's also a subscription to Pregnancy & Birth magazine, so she can keep up to date with any new products, ideas or advice.
Finally, I've chosen a couple of Rockabye Baby CDs, in which some classic songs by Nirvana and The Beatles get reworked to lull the newborn to sleep. Less annoying than regular nursery rhymes, these CDs are fab for tired pregnant mums too, as well as providing a little amusement!
