Prince Harry made an exciting announcement on Tuesday, revealing that the next Invictus Games will take place in Orlando, FL, in May 2016. The inaugural event took place in London last September, and next year's Paralympic-style games for injured, wounded, and sick servicemen will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex from May 8-12. Prince Harry shared the news in a video this week, saying, "For me, the 2014 Games were just the beginning of the Invictus story." He talked about what made the event so special, saying, "Last year, 400 competitors from 13 nations entertained thousands of spectators over four incredible and unforgettable days."
Following Prince Harry's announcement, First Lady Michelle Obama tweeted her excitement, saying, "We are thrilled to welcome #InvictusGames to Orlando next spring! #JoiningForces." Her support comes after she and Prince Harry had tea together in London last month.
