Prince Harry Couldn't Resist Petting a Dog During His Latest Outing, and OMG, My Heart

24/07/2019 - 01:15 PM

Prince Harry got back to work on Tuesday after attending the UK premiere of The Lion King [1] last week. The Duke of Sussex met with animal and environmental conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall at St. George's House at Windsor Castle while she hosted a global leadership meeting for the Roots & Shoots organisation [2] (which she founded in 1991 and which encourages young people to make a difference in the environment). Harry — who also shares a passion for environmental conservation [3] — delivered a speech to inspire young people [4] and communities to save the planet.

"The good news is that young people like you don't need to be convinced that we must urgently intervene [to help the planet]; you are actively doing this every single day, and your dedication to effecting change is outstanding," Harry said. "As my grandmother, the Queen, once said, 'Sometimes the world's problems are so big we think we can do little to help. On our own we cannot end wars or wipe out injustice, but the cumulative impact of thousands of small acts of goodness can be bigger than we imagine.'"

Still, the cutest moment, perhaps, was when Harry couldn't resist petting an adorable dog at the event. Technically, that goes against royal protocol [5], but tell me, could you resist that furry face? Maybe Harry was missing his dog Oz [6]. See more photos of Harry's latest outing ahead!
