Meghan and Harry Visit Sussex For the First Time as Duke and Duchess of Sussex

04/10/2018 - 05:45 PM

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle [1] have officially stepped out in Sussex for the first time since becoming the Duke and Duchess of Sussex [2]. The couple greeted well-wishers as they arrived in Chichester, West Sussex, England and, unsurprisingly, had adorable interactions [3]. Harry was busy greeting a dog and high-fiving school children, while Meghan shook hands with locals and also had a cuddle with a canine fan, too. The pair are in Chichester to visit Survivors' Network, a charity that supports survivors of sexual assault and rape. Later in the day, they will also be seeing a rare copy of the American Declaration of Independence at Edes House.

It's been a busy few weeks for the duke and duchess, as Meghan took on her first solo royal engagement [4], where she once again proved that she was born to be a royal. Prince Harry also supported his wife during her cookbook launch [5], where he even helped fix her windswept hair [6]. It's sweet to see Prince Harry help guide Meghan through all the complex royal protocol, but by the looks of things, she's exceeding everyone's expectations. Take a closer look at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's sweet interactions with the locals, ahead.
