As they began a busy day of royal activities, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Evelina London Children's Hospital on Tuesday morning. The duchess has just been named the hospital's patron and, according to Kensington Palace, will user this new role to "champion the medical professionals working on the front-line in children's healthcare, and shine a light on their work supporting children in their early years."
She wasted no time getting to work, meeting some of the children currently receiving care at the hospital. As she and William arrived, they were greeted by one girl who had an adorable reaction to being in the presence royalty. Kate and William both crouched down to shake her hand, and the little girl, who also handed the duchess a bouquet of flowers, threw her head back and giggled, flashing a huge grin at the cameras. At least she kept her cool enough to actually meet the royals, unlike the sweet boy who was so overwhelmed to be in the presence of the queen last week that he dropped to the floor and crawled away.
