Come On: Don't These Photos of Princess Charlotte Just Make You Wish You Were a Kid Again?
By now, you've likely seen the adorable photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte enjoying a day out with their mum, the Duchess of Cambridge, and other royal family members at Prince William's charity polo match in England last weekend. The event was full of cute moments from the kids — including George being pushed by his savage older cousin Savannah Phillips — but Charlotte really stole the show just by being her sassy, spirited self. During the afternoon outing, the 3-year-old princess looked completely carefree as she ran barefoot through the grass, showed off her somersaulting skills, and generally basked in the delight of being, well, a 3-year-old princess.
To say that these photos of Charlotte make me wish I was a little kid again is a real understatement. Being an adult is cool, but it's no picnic — and with warmer days upon us, I just really miss rolling around in grass, running around with my cousins, and especially doing flips while wearing a dress and not caring about my ass hanging out. What a dream, right? Charlotte has quickly become my favourite member of the royal family this year (sorry, Queen), and these photos are a prime example of why. She's adorable, yes, but she's also at that age where everything is magical, any place can be a playground, and there's no voice inside your head telling you to "be afraid" or "slow down" or "not do cartwheels in a dress." The world is her oyster, and I want in.
