After months of preparations [1] and secret meetings with wedding dress designers [2], Oct. 12 made way for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's royal wedding [3]. But before the couple said "I do" in St George's Chapel in front of their closest friends and family, they gave a sweet interview to ITV, in which they lovingly reminisced about the day they first met [4].

"We were skiing at a friend's place [. . .] and we just stared at each other." explains Jack. "I thought 'What a silly hat,'" adds Eugenie. "And I thought 'Who's that?' and then you came over and shook my hand, and I was all butterflies and nervous. And I think I rang my mum that night."

Eugenie and Jack's love story began almost eight years ago, when the princess was just 21 years old. The couple met during a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland, and the two then made their public debut in June 2011, when they attended the Royal Ascot together. Now, they will embark on the next chapter of their lives as a married couple [5], and we're already looking forward to seeing more of them!
