On 8 Sept., it was announced that Queen Elizabeth II had passed away [1]. The sad news was released in a statement by Buckingham Palace at 6.30 p.m stating she passed away peacefully at Balmoral. As the longest-reigning British monarch, the Queen reigned for 70 years, and leaves behind an impressive legacy.

Over the decades [2], Elizabeth has become a complete cultural icon, not just in the eyes of Brits, but for the entire world. With a life in the public eye, she always managed to be graceful, colourful (literally) [3], with a witty sense of humour.
