13/02/2018 - 08:50 PM

After proudly cheering on her costars [1] during award season, Reese Witherspoon [2] is using her motivational skills to cheer on Team USA during the 2018 Olympics. Throughout the Winter Games, the Big Little Lies [3] actress has been the athletes' No. 1 fan as she sings their praises on social media, and the admiration certainly goes both ways! The athletes have been geeking out over her responses on social media, as well. Seriously, can Reese be the official cheerleader for Team USA? See some of her best interactions below.

Ahead of the Winter Games, Reese called figure skater Adam Rippon — who is the first openly gay American athlete in the Winter Olympics [4] — the "reason #1 to watch" the games this year.

It certainly didn't take long for the 28-year-old to appropriately freak out on Twitter.

The adorable back and forth didn't end there! Reese couldn't help herself from retweeting one of Adam's interviews on social media.

While talking with NBC, Adam gave Reese a shoutout when he revealed what goes through his head when he steps out on the ice. "I want to represent my country to the best of my abilities," he said. "I want to make Reese Witherspoon [5] proud."

Reese let it be known that she was proud of Ryan when she tweeted out his interview with NBC on Twitter.

After figure skater Mirai Nagasu made history as the first American woman to complete a triple axel [6] at the Olympics, Reese gave the 24-year-old a sweet shoutout.

Shortly after, Mirai responded, letting Reese know that she wasn't just her hero, but she wished the actress was her mom. Aww!

Of course, Reese had the perfect response.

Reese couldn't handle her excitement as she gushed over NBC's photo of the 17-year-old snowboarder doing a flip in the snow.
