ICYMI: my queen Regina King finally got her due at the Oscars on Sunday night when she took home the award for outstanding actress in a supporting role for If Beale Street Could Talk. But the only thing better than watching her tearfully accept her award was seeing how overcome with joy she was to see her name being engraved on the statue.
In a video shared by Variety on Twitter, the actress is seen happily watching her statue get personalized. "I'm gonna have a tequila in there," she joked to someone off camera. "Yeah, I'm going with what does me well. Wow." She also mentioned later in the video that she never imagined that her role in the film would land her an Oscar. "I just knew that we were doing something special," she said. Watch the full clip above.
