When a song is titled "S & M," the music video formula probably seems obvious: bondage, racy outfits, innuendo. But it's a careful line to walk between being playful and taking things too far. In Rihanna's latest, the singer treads it carefully, using S & M to allude to her love-hate relationship with the press (in one scene, she walks Perez Hilton around like a dog).
Most of the video is in your face, between the frenetic camera shots and the sexual overtones, but in Rihanna's defence, at least she tries to keep things light and cheeky, as opposed to something like this. What do you think?
