Robert Pattinson Proves He Has a Heart of Gold
In case Robert Pattinson needed another reason to love him, during a break from filming Maps to the Stars, he surprised a group of teens at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Last week, Rob sat with young patients to do some arts and crafts, making a point to pose for pictures and sign each kid's picture frame while he was there. He also visited with two Twilight fans who have cystic fibrosis and couldn't leave their rooms.
"We couldn't help laughing and smiling when one of the patients was so starstruck she that couldn't speak. You could tell it meant the world to her — she was tearing up and smiling ear to ear as we were leaving," said Lyndsay Hutchinson, the hospital's senior public information officer. "The other little girl teased him relentlessly and begged him to do an American accent. They were instant friends."
The hospital's child life specialist, Ana Vega, also gushed over Rob's visit, saying, "Robert was so nervous about meeting the kids — he didn't want to let them down — which is a testament to how humble he is. He was incredibly gracious and kind. He will probably never fully understand what a huge lift he gave to these kids today, and how it will positively impact them over the long term."
