A Gun Salute and Golden Easel! London Celebrates the Royal Birth
Yesterday in London, Kate Middleton gave birth to a baby boy — His Royal Highness Prince of Cambridge. Minutes after a press release came out with initial details, the official bulletin was posted on the easel outside Buckingham Palace, saying simply, "Her Royal Highness Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4:24 p.m. today. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."
There have already been plenty of royal baby celebrations in Britain, and the excitement has continued following the Prince of Cambridge's birth. Gun salutes have taken place across the city, and we can also expect a traditional 41-gun royal salute to honor the newborn prince. Take a look at all the action in London!
