In 2015, Mabel was uploading her track "Know Me Better" on SoundCloud with hopes of making it big. Fast-forward to 2020 and the singer-songwriter has certainly achieved her goal. In February, Mabel won a 2020 BRIT Award for best new artist in addition to opening the award show with a lively performance of her hit song "Don't Call Me Up", which also happened to be nominated for best song of the year.
Although her musical career is just beginning, Mabel is no stranger to the industry. Her mum is '90s Swedish-born singer Neneh Cherry and her father is Cameron McVey, an English producer known for his work with Massive Attack (and fun fact, her grandfather is American jazz trumpeter Don Cherry). Not only is Mabel talented, but she's also too beautiful for words.
