All eyes were on Taylor Swift [1] as she attended the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Wednesday. Following her return to music earlier this month [2], the singer made a gorgeous appearance at the award show. Wearing a frilly lavender mini-dress, Taylor looked every inch the "cool chick" as she posed for the cameras on the red carpet (and hung out with Paula Abdul and her cats [3] backstage, naturally). The singer is set to open the award show [4] with Panic! at the Disco singer Brendon Urie as they perform her new single "Me!" [5] for the very first time.
Taylor has been stepping back into the spotlight in a big way over the past few months. In addition to releasing new music, the singer was recently named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people [6] in the world. Seeing how much of a fan-frenzy she is causing with her upcoming seventh album [7], we think the title is well-deserved.
