Taylor Swift Visits Fan With Severe Burn Injuries May 2018

Taylor Swift's Latest Gesture Will Make Even Her Biggest Critics Applaud Her

Taylor Swift surprised superfan Isabella McCune at Maricopa Medical centre in Phoenix, AZ on Saturday. The Reputation singer made a point to reach out after learning the 8-year-old, who was severely burned in a fire pit explosion on St. Patrick's Day, listened to her music as inspiration during her recovery. Isabella has undergone 11 operations, including skin grafting on 50 percent of her body, People reports.

Isabella's mom, Lilly, told the outlet that her daughter was "so shocked" and happy to see the 28-year-old at the hospital with "a bag of goodies" from her tour. "Taylor took time out of her busy, busy schedule and sat down on the bed next to Isabella . . . She said she had to meet her because she was so inspired by her story and honoured that her music helped her."

Before leaving, Isabella got a hug from the "Delicate" singer although Taylor admitted she was afraid to hurt her. "They hugged and it was so heartfelt. I knew it meant a lot to Isabella," Lilly shared. "Taylor extended an invitation to her to come to a show whenever she's ready."
