In addition to being Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's eldest child, Katherine also has a special connection to the Kennedy family. Maria's mom was John F. Kennedy's younger sister, Eunice (she passed away in 2009), and her dad was Sargent Shriver, who served as a US Ambassador to France in 1968.

Katherine has a self-titled lifestyle website, where she writes all about fashion, beauty, health, food, and animals. She's also a regular contributor to InStyle magazine and has served as a guest cohost on The View. "When we were growing up, my mom had my siblings and I write in a journal about the trips we would take and the different experiences we would have," Katherine previously told Girl Boss. "I hated doing it when I was younger . . . but I'm so happy that I have those diaries and I'm able to look back on what was in my mind what I was eight, or 14, or in college. Writing has always been a really big part of my life."

Katherine is an ambassador for the American Society For the Prevention of Animal Cruelty. She frequently uses her platform to encourage others to volunteer at animal rescue groups, donate supplies to shelters, and she even wrote about her own pet adoption experience in her third book, Maverick and Me.
