By now, there's a good chance you've come across 22-year-old actress Kathryn Newton. She's everywhere — playing a journalist on the big screen in Pokémon Detective Pikachu, playing the lead in Netflix's The Society, and playing Abigail Carlson in HBO's Big Little Lies. If those don't ring a bell, perhaps you remember her from her major roles in Blockers and Paranormal Activity 4, or her appearance in Lady Bird. 1. She Loves Her Dogs — We Love Them, Too

In a video interview with MTV News, Kathryn reveals that she has three poodles named Jack King, Buddy, and Ladybird. The trio of pups make a regular appearance on Kathryn's IG feed. For the record, Ladybird is the tiny pup she's always holding (she's a diva).

2. She's Casually a Professional Golfer

"I was known as Kathryn the Golfer in high school," says Kathryn in an interview with Vanity Fair. Golf Digest has also deemed her "the best golfer in Hollywood." Clearly, the star has serious skills both on and off the course.

3. She Has Some Really Cool Friends

"Love these ladiessssss," writes Kathryn in her Instagram caption, referring to Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch, and Lana Condor. In an interview with Refinery29, Kathryn mentions how she's ready to take on a role in a rom-com. Can we please get all of these ladies involved?

5. She Was Super Excited For Her Role in the Pokemon Movie

"I'm telling you, this movie brought me back to my childhood," says Kathryn in an interview with Refinery29. "On my first day of school, I had a Pikachu backpack and now in the movie I have Psyduck on my back, so it's like I was training for this movie." In Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, Kathryn plays journalist Lucy Stevens investigating a story alongside detective Tim Goodman (Justice Smith).

6. She Loves Sushi Just as Much as We Do

Spotted: Kathryn, with chopsticks in hand, eating sushi as she's getting her hair done. We also spy some sashimi, along with her dog Ladybird, of course.

7. She Takes "I Woke Up Like This Selfies" . . . Kind Of

In her caption, Kathryn writes, "#didntwakeuplikedis," sporting loose curls, some smoky eye makeup, and effortlessly perfect brows.

9. She's Tight With Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon plays Kathryn's mom on Big Little Lies. She also was a big reason Kathryn ended up on the show in the first place. In an interview with Marie Claire, Kathryn said Reese helped work things out with Universal Studios so that she could star in both BLL and Detective Pikachu at the same time. The actress had a supertight schedule and almost had to choose just one!
