While her younger sister Princess Eugenie made headlines [1] with the second royal wedding of 2018 [2], Princess Beatrice of York has been somewhat out of the spotlight recently. The 30-year-old princess, who is the elder daughter [3] of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York [4], may not be a working royal, but she's definitely a royal star [5]. Princess Beatrice counts some pretty big names among her friends, from designers to musicians and more, and she reportedly runs with a pretty elite crowd [6] on the regular. Misha Nonoo
Nonoo and Princess Beatrice reportedly are part of the same circle of friends. Back in 2018, Hello! reported that the princess and Nonoo were part of a large group [7] of friends who went on a trip to Jordan together. Nonoo even shared a group photo that included Beatrice on her Instagram stories.
The British-American fashion designer has run in royal circles for a while. Long before Meghan Markle [8] was the Duchess of Sussex, Nonoo and Markle were close friends — in fact, rumours have swirled [9] that Nonoo was the "mutual friend" who famously set Markle and Prince Harry up on a blind date [10]!
Princess Eugenie of York
As the only two official blood princesses of their generation, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have had more unique shared experiences than most sisters. Beatrice was the maid of honour at Eugenie's 2018 wedding, notably giving a reading [11] from The Great Gatsby during the service.
The sisters are very close and probably know each other better than anyone. In a 2008 interview with The Telegraph, Princess Eugenie explained [12] how she and her older sister are alike and different.
"I am definitely not as polite as Beatrice, I have to say. I tell it as it is. I am shyer at first," Princess Eugenie said. "Like, at a party I will say to Beatrice as we go in, 'Oh, you go first.' But then, when we're actually in, I am much louder and she is far more polite and solicitous."
"We get on fantastically well, perhaps because we do and think different things," she continued. "It's quite funny how, like most sisters, we sometimes fight about clothes . . . Like all sisters, we have silly arguments about unimportant stuff, but we do love each other to death."
Robbie Williams and Ayda Field
The out-there pop star might seem like a strange fit for a friend of a princess, but Williams and his wife Field are actually very close to both Beatrice and Eugenie.
"Robbie gets on really well with Beatrice [13]. He treats her like a little sister and looks after her. It's really sweet," an anonymous source told The Sun, adding that the singer has jokingly called Beatrice "Sis" over the years.
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi
The newest friend in Princess Beatrice's life is a little more than a friend. The Italian entrepreneur made his first public appearance with the princess [14] in March 2019 at the Portrait Gala at London's National Portrait Gallery.
According to People, the couple has just started dating relatively recently, but they've known each other for years [15]. Mozzi is reportedly an old family friend, through a winding series of connections. His stepfather, Christopher Shale, was an old friend of Beatrice's parents, the Duke and Duchess of York; he and Beatrice had been acquainted for some time before they began dating [16].
Karlie Kloss
Supermodel Kloss has been friends with the princess for years. Back in 2016, the women both attended the wedding of fashion blogger Colby Jordan and art collector Alberto "Tico" Mugrabi, and Kloss posted a selfie of them together [17], captioned "My wedding date."
Kloss also joined Beatrice [18] on her trip to Jordan, as reported by W. The pair have been spotted together at plenty of events and share the same circle of friends, but neither has commented on how they met in the first place.
