The Reason Harry and Meghan's Valentine's Day Celebration Will Have to Wait This Year
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be celebrating a very special milestone next month: their first Valentine's Day as husband and wife! The Duchess of Sussex previously revealed on her former blog, The Tig, that she's a "sucker" for the holiday, but it looks like their celebration may have to wait until Harry wraps up an important work commitment. On Feb. 14, the Duke of Sussex will be making a solo trip to Norway to visit the Royal Marines. Harry, who is the captain general of the regiment, will be on hand to see how Exercise Clockwork (the name of the annual Winter exercise) has trained the marines and the Royal Navy sailors and airmen. He will also view a variety of outdoor Ground Training Stances, which will show how the equipment and training is conducted at Clockwork.
Harry previously spent time in the British Armed Forces and took over the captain general role from Prince Philip in 2017. His grandfather previously held the position since 1953, but passed it on to Harry after he announced that he would be stepping down from his royal duties. While those are certainly big shoes to fill, we have no doubt that Harry will do just fine.
