This Woman's Park Performance of Missy Elliott's "Work It" Is, Indeed, Worth It
Some things in life you just can't predict; like today, when I woke up, I had no idea that I was going to be blessed with a video from the internet's newest star: world, meet Mary Halsey. She may be Goddard Park's undisputed karaoke queen, but Missy Elliott is calling the woman from Rhode Island her "funky white sister," and the accuracy has us wanting to see some birth certificates. A video of Mary's recent performance of Missy's 2002 hit "Work It" recently surfaced on the internet, and if the 3.2 million views on Mary's Facebook page weren't enough, it was Missy's praise for her that had her freaking out.
"She straight up killed 'Work it' with the yea yea yea at the beginning & the sound effects & all🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾😂 my funky white sis ft Miss Tippy Toe in the back," Missy wrote alongside the video. The best part is, one woman responded on Twitter saying that she knows "Missy Mary" and she used to perform this song "every Friday night."
