Zoe Saldana's Mum Keeps Confusing Her With Thandie Newton
Zoe Saldana may be a hugely successful actress with roles in big hits like Guardians of the Galaxy and Avatar under her belt, but she still has trouble getting her mum on board. During an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Zoe explained that her mom isn't exactly up to date on her latest roles. After fellow guest Jason Clarke discussed how his passionate mother resorted to writing letters when he got bad reviews, Zoe joked, "my mom still thinks I'm in Westworld." As James and Jason cracked up, she continued, "years ago you thought that I was in Traffic . . . mom, you did not give birth to Thandie Newton."
Zoe then went on to explain how this led to her approaching Thandie at the Golden Globes to see if she had ever suffered from similar confusion. Thandie's reaction was hilarious, but it did lead to the pair becoming friends (and hopefully Zoe's mum has finally worked out which one is which).
