Amber Riley Leads a Sing-Along to Beyoncé's "Freedom" at Protest: "Fight For Truth and Justice"
Amber Riley is one of the many Americans marching to protest racial injustice. In the wake of the killing of George Floyd, the 34-year-old actress made her voice heard when she belted out a powerful rendition of Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar's "Freedom" at a protest in Los Angeles on Tuesday. "What an honour. #blacklivesmatter #defundthepolice #prosecutekillercops," Amber captioned a video of her performance on Instagram.
"You have free agency to use every amazing gift you have to fight for truth and justice."
On Twitter, Amber urged her fans to use their voices to demand change. "We all have voices. I don't care how many followers you have. All of our voices and how we utilise our platforms is important," she wrote. "If it's 10 followers, radicalize them, make them believers in themselves that they can change the world and themselves for the better!"

In a separate tweet, she added: "Don't rely on celebrities. You have free agency to use every amazing gift you have to fight for truth and justice. Do YOUR part. YOU are necessary. PERIODT!"
Floyd was killed in Minneapolis on May 25 when police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck to pin him down for almost nine minutes even as he said he couldn't breathe. Four days later, Chauvin was arrested and charged with third-degree murder. The three remaining officers involved are also expected to be charged.
