Anya Taylor-Joy is sparking romance rumours ahead of her Saturday Night Live [1] debut. On Monday, the 25-year-old star of The Queen's Gambit [2] was spotted kissing and holding hands with 27-year-old actor and musician Malcolm McRae [3]. While neither of them has publicly confirmed their relationship yet, Anya recently mentioned that she has a partner [4] in an interview with Elle. "My partner's just come back from work, and he's moving around all of his equipment, so this was the safe spot," Anya explained, referring to the fact that she was doing the interview from her bathroom.
Even though Anya rarely opens up about her love life, the actress was last linked to photographer Ben Seed [5] in May 2020. Prior to Ben, she dated Irish actor Eoin Macken [6], and there were even rumours that the two were engaged, but they eventually split.
In addition to a possible new romance, Anya is getting ready to host the season finale [7] of SNL this weekend. She will be joined by musical guest Lil Nas X, so it's guaranteed to be a fun night. Will Malcolm be there to cheer her on? We'll just have to wait and see.
