Not too long ago we learned that "Euphoria" is HBO's second-most-watched show, with 16.3 million viewers tuning in to the season two finale. And now we know that none other than Britney Spears is a big fan of the Emmy Award-winning drama starring Zendaya! On Friday, the superstar shared a clip via Instagram from season one, writing, "For MENTAL AWARENESS WEEK a little while ago I watched this insane amazing show @euphoria โฆ Good God it's too good !!!! I'm a little behind anyways ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ !!!! Watching this and being entertained by these crazy plots I suddenly felt all my anxiety go away โฆ the show was like meditation !!!!"
She continued, "It put a HUGE grin on my face โฆ and if you want to be zen โฆ there's sound therapy ๐๐ผ โฆ stillness โฆ yoga ๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ โฆ monk retreats โฆ but last but definitely not least, train your thoughts to think things that make you SMILE ... YES you know THOSE ๐๐๐ !!!! YOU GOT IT ???? KEEP SMILING ๐"
Though the series is often criticized for glorifying sex, drug abuse, and violence, Zendaya said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly that "the feeling behind 'Euphoria,' or whatever we have always been trying to do with it, is to hopefully help people feel a little bit less alone in their experience and their pain."
In November, Spears's 13-year conservatorship finally ended thanks to Judge Brenda J. Penny's ruling. Since then, the 40-year-old singer has been very open about her healing process. "My intention is to merely exist in hopes that others see me write โฆ dance ๐๐ผ โฆ cry ๐ข โฆ laugh ๐ โฆ sing ๐ค โฆ or just speak ๐ฃ !!!! They know I exist to be a good person โฆ. period," she shared via Instagram a couple weeks after the exciting verdict. Recently, the singer reportedly signed a $15 million book deal for a tell-all memoir.
