It's Time to Talk About Jimin's Teeth — Did He Get Braces or Not? Let's Investigate

BTS' Jimin is a multitalented artist known for his mesmerising vocals, smooth dance moves, and a smile so infectious that the notion of him potentially getting braces has caused a frenzy amongst the BTS ARMY. Jimin's one slightly crooked front tooth is beloved by fans, but he may be getting it straightened as you sit here reading this post. So what's the story behind this, and has Jimin gotten braces already? Let's investigate!

Why Does BTS' Jimin Want Braces?

During his 31 Aug., 2021 VLIVE, Jimin shared why he was considering getting braces soon. "There's something I want to tell. I think you'll be sad. Should I say it?" the superstar said, acknowledging his fans' fond feelings for his front tooth, according to a translation by the Twitter fan account @BTStranslation_. "This is the bottom part of my tooth, right? It's fake. You know, when I'm singing, it sometimes breaks off because of the mic. So I went to the dentist and got a consultation for braces."

Jimin revealed that it has been increasingly strenuous to perform live as his front tooth keeps hitting the microphone, resulting in it getting chipped multiple times. While Jimin is well-aware of how much his fans adore his teeth just the way they are, he made it clear that he's solemnly considering braces as a preemptive measure against any further dental issues.

Did BTS' Jimin Get Braces Already?

Ever since learning that Jimin has been considering braces, fans have been paying close attention to his look, and some strongly believe he has had clear braces for some time now. Fans have pointed out on social media that they noticed a different sheen atop Jimin's teeth, with some even insisting they see clear wires and brackets, leading them to believe that he's started wearing a transparent set of braces.

Other fans aren't entirely convinced and think the photos that appear to show Jimin wearing clear braces are just tricks of light or manipulated because he didn't seem to have them in BTS' Nov. 23 interview on The Late, Late Show with James Corden.

The last time Jimin mentioned braces was during his Oct. 13 birthday VLIVE, at which point he confirmed that he had not gotten them yet. Of course, that doesn't mean things haven't changed since. But considering Jimin hasn't yet confirmed or denied the speculation surrounding his braces, fans will have to wait for him to do so in the future.
