After the couple won an American Music Award for their collaboration on the 2019 Summer hit, "Señorita" [2], Mendes took to Instagram [3] to share a photo of Cabello and himself accepting their win with the caption, "I admire you so much you unbelievable human being thank you for being you" — Cabello responded with the l-word.
Only a few hours after Mendes's post, Cabello shared a carousel of photos with her boyfriend [4], "I love u @shawnmendes thank u for being so there for me yesterday and every other day, u have the most caring and beautiful heart in the world ! ❤️" She continued by thanking all her fans for voting for Mendes and herself to win the AMA for "Collaboration of the Year".
