Camila Cabello recently had the honour of joining the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in recognising a group of inspiring teens at Kensington Palace. On Tuesday, the palace posted an Instagram album of Camila, Will, and Kate [3] with the finalists of the BBC Radio 1 Teen Heroes Awards. "Now in its tenth year, @bbcradio1's Teen Awards is the biggest teen event in the pop music calendar and shines a light on some of the UK's most inspirational teens," the post read. "This is the fourth consecutive year that Radio 1's Teen Heroes have been honoured with an invitation to the Palace. The ten finalists were greeted by The Duke and Duchess, who praised them for their inspirational work and their dedication to helping others."
The Teen Heroes program honours young people [4] who are making a difference in their communities, and many of them have overcome adversities in their own lives to become ambassadors or volunteers. "I was so honoured to be invited to Kensington Palace to meet and celebrate this year's Teen Hero finalists with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge," Camila told the BBC. "Hearing the incredible things these Teen Heroes have done is so inspirational! Their passion and dedication to help others is amazing and they really blew me away!"
The award ceremony took place early this month, prior to Will and Kate's tour of Pakistan [5].
