The category is red carpet fabulosity! On Sept. 22, Indya Moore, Billy Porter, Dyllon Burnside, and the cast of Pose [1] brought their ballroom struts to the red carpet for the 2019 Emmy Awards [2]. Just one night before, the cast got together at Vanity Fair and FX's Emmy Nominations Party to celebrate Billy's 50th birthday [3], and the party did not stop there.
Pose made history this year with six groundbreaking Emmy nominations [4], including outstanding drama series, and Billy's nomination for outstanding lead actor in a drama series. Janet Mock, the series' writer, director, and producer, is the first black transgender producer to ever be nominated in the outstanding drama series category [5]. Check out photos of the cast at the Emmy Awards and get excited for a night of (hopefully) record-breaking awards.
