1 He Started His Acting Career With a Cameo on One of His Mum's TV Shows

Before taking on his role as Whitney's obnoxious know-it-all lab partner in "The Sex Lives of College Girls," Hall appeared in shows like "Big Shot" and a film titled "Moxie." However, his first speaking role came about in his mother's show "Veep," where she starred as politician Selina Meyer, and he had a cameo in season seven playing a character named Eddie Axler.

"It was actually (showrunner) Dave Mandel's idea, God bless him," Louis-Dreyfus shared during a 2019 appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers," per the Chicago Tribune. "There was this role of an inappropriately young boyfriend to a record executive who's in his 50s, and Dave said, 'Hey, maybe Charlie can play that part'' And I said, 'Sure, I'll ask him.'" 3 He Played College Basketball For Northwestern University

Prior to his acting career, Hall attended Northwestern University, where he played basketball. Louis-Dreyfus, being the supportive mother she is, went to some of his games and raved about them during a 2017 appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" "It has been a thrilling ride," she told the show's audience. Of cheering her two kids on in their endeavours, she added, "All my life I've gone to every game, every concert, every everything. I have to say I'm watching them, and I just do that . . . I don't think about how I look, I'm in my Birkenstocks, and I look like an idiot . . . [But] it was really an exciting thing."

4 He Created His Own Comedy Web Series

Hall created his four-part YouTube comedy series, "Sorry, Charlie," in January 2020 when he was still a student at Northwestern, according to People. He also wrote and directed it alongside his friend and former classmate Jack Price. Additionally, Hall's parents, who he said "have a ton of experience writing and reading scripts," helped with "Sorry, Charlie"'s writing process. The actor told People he'd been creating videos since he was a kid but called his web series his "most official" project at that time.

5 He Helped Support His Mother Through Her Breast Cancer Recovery

Louis-Dreyfus announced her battle with breast cancer in September 2017 and a year later revealed that she was in remission. In a 2020 interview with People, Hall opened up about his mother's diagnosis and said, "It's a struggle to have that happen to your mom." However, he stayed relatively optimistic throughout her recovery. "I felt pretty lucky," he added. "Both just with the care she was able to receive and also the support from our family and friends and people reaching out to me and stuff. I think we all very much felt like we had a team, that we were not alone."
