Don't Worry Darling Cast Arrive at the Venice Film Festival

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde Make Their Red Carpet Debut at the Venice Film Festival

Don't Worry Darling Cast Arrive at the Venice Film Festival

The cast of the highly anticipated "Don't Worry Darling" film have descended upon the Venice Film Festival as real-life couple Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde promote their movie together for the first time. Joined by actors Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, and Florence Pugh on 5 Sept., the cast wowed in a series of showstopping looks ahead of the film's release on 23 Sept.

Wilde took to the carpet in a striking yellow plunging custom Gucci gown adorned with metallic encrusted strands and train detailed with a yellow feathered hemline. The dress had shoulder pads to create a structured silhouette that was offset by her soft, wavy hair. Styles, who started dating Wilde after after working on the film, kept to his beloved 70s style as he arrived in a Gucci blue double-breasted blazer, navy flared trousers, and light blue shirt with oversize collar. Matching blue nail varnish, statement rings, and tan tinted sunglasses completed his look.

Pugh joined the rest of the cast for the first time, after arriving too late for the earlier photo call, and made one hell of an entrance. The star wore a pair of high-waist knickers underneath a sheer Valentino black tulle dress decorated with silver specks. The off-the-shoulder gown split at the front to perfectly showcase her black, feathered ankle-strap heels. With her short blonde bob coiffed into an expert flick, she oozed Hollywood glamour. And in the cutest moment of the festival so far, Pugh brought her nan, called "Granzo Pat" on her Instagram, who posed alongside her famous granddaughter on the red carpet.

The five actors then joined Sydney Chandler and Nick Kroll, who also star in the film, to pose for a cast photo to officially celebrate the upcoming release.

Earlier in the day, Wilde, Styles, Pine, and Chan reunited for the photo call and press conference, although fellow castmate Pugh was noticeably absent. As rumours have been swirling on social media that there had been pay-disparity friction amongst the cast, Pugh's absence was immediately justified as her flight from Budapest, where she is currently filming "Dune: Part II", was always going to arrive later in the afternoon. Wilde even addressed the ongoing rumours in the press conference after one journalist asked her directly if there had been a falling out. Wilde, who also directs the film, responded, "I can't say enough how honoured I am to have her as our lead. She's amazing in the film and as for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, I mean, the internet feeds itself. I don't feel the need to contribute, I think it's sufficiently well nourished."

For the photo call, Wilde looked effortlessly chic wearing a green bouclé co-ord by Chanel made up of a boxy jacket and buttoned midi skirt with oversize pockets. She teamed the matching suit with a simple black bralette, black knee-high boots, and her signature black winged eyeliner. Styles chose an appropriate sailor-themed ensemble as he arrived separately by boat. The navy turn-up flared trousers, cream pinstripe blazer, and silk scarf he chose are all from his "Ha Ha Ha" fashion collaboration with Gucci, available starting mid-October.

Pine also took the nautical colour palette literally by arriving for the photo call in a cream shirt, a navy blazer, red cropped trousers, and tan loafers. Fellow castmate Chan also turned heads in Louis Vuitton wide-leg gold cargo trousers, an embellished ruffled crop top, and gold capped heels.
