On Friday, Dove confirmed their split on her Instagram and Twitter, revealing that the two had parted ways in October. "The decision was incredibly difficult, but we still have love for each other, and will remain friends. Thank you for allowing us our privacy in this time," she wrote. Thomas has yet to comment on the breakup.

Dove and Thomas first connected on the set of Descendants 2 back in late 2016, and it didn't take long for a romantic relationship to blossom. The actress and singer officially confirmed their relationship in February 2017, and the two went on to share many red carpet appearances and glimpses of their romance on social media. The reason for the split has not been disclosed.
